This family. This session. So near and dear to my heart. I feel a lot of weight and importance every time I photograph a family session and this one was no exception. Except the weight was much heavier. Dana, (the mom and my dear friend), was just diagnosed with stage III esophageal cancer and with that comes a lot of changes, surgeries, chemo, etc. Being allowed to capture this moment in time, just the four of them, before this crazy new life begins, meant more to me than anything thing I have ever photographed. She is about to start the fight of her life, but her faith is strong and she is ready. Friends, please join me in prayer for this family. It’s going to be a long and tough journey, but in the end, God will be glorified. I love you Dana, no one fights alone <3
